The Film or Hydrolipidic Layer is a mixture of sebum and sweat that covers the outer part of the epidermis. This is our skin’s protective barrier against the external agents that can damage it.
This outer part of the epidermis is formed by a top one that is called the stratum corneum, consisting of over 20 sub-layers of dead skin cells which contribute to the skin scaling and renewal natural process.
Protecting this hydrolipidic layer is essential to avoid early aging of our skin and therefore a non-abrasive cleansing is necessary (PH BALANCE) together with suitable hydration (DAILY DEFENSE 30, ABSOLUTE RENEWAL, VITAMIN C SERUM). All of these, as well as a balanced diet and plenty of water intake, say at least two liters of water a day, can make the difference!
Oily skin, should I or should I not moisturize?
It is important to remember that moisturizing is always a must even when we have oily skin and believe that it does not require moisturizing; on the contrary, we must look for the suitable moisturizer (SMART MOISTURIZER & PORE MINIMIZER) that can regulate sebum hyper secretion, minimize open pores and can provide nourishment for our skin type. This will protect our skin from aging, reduce the signs of this biological process and keep it healthier.
Till next time!
